Activity programme from 29 May to 4 June 2023

Come and live a complete experience with us thanks to our French courses, our accommodation and our weekly cultural programme! Every week we offer a great programme: between city tours, yoga (ashtanga) classes and excursions, our students never see the time pass! And in French, of course!

Summer is approaching and the festival season continues in Montpellier! After sports, we're moving on to culture and more particularly, theatre: the "Printemps des Comédiens" festival is coming up. We tell you everything here: https://www.accentfrancais.com/blog/montpellier-festival-le-printemps-des-comediens

Monday 29 May - Bank holiday

The school will be closed on this day and there will be no classes. In compensation, we are offering a free excursion in the region to all our students. It's the perfect way to practise your French and discover the local culture and history!

1:30pm-6:30pm: Excursion to Saintes Maries de la Mer
Discover the Camargue and its special animals: pink flamingos, bulls and horses. Ponds mingle with the land or the other way round, where people grow rice, salt and vines. A seaside town symbolises this region: Les Saintes Maries de la mer and its fortified Romanesque church, a Christian pilgrimage site on the Way of St James. Pilgrims come here to venerate the relics of the St Maries (Marie Jacobée: aunt of Jesus and Marie Salomé: mother of the apostles James and John). The gypsy community gathers here every year to celebrate the relics of their patron saint, Saint Sara. This village is considered to be one of the oldest Christian cults in the West. Free time in the town and on the beach. Swimming is possible, but please bring a swimming costume.
