At Accent Français, classes are organized by level

• Before arrival     :  Online written test to guarantee your pre-placement in the group corresponding to your level. 
  *** PLEASE NOTE *** : Without your placement test, you will not be able to start the course on Monday and we cannot guarantee a place in your level. 
  
  
  
  

• Upon arrival at Accent Français: Your teacher will confirm your oral abilities during the first course.

  
  
• Each week:  : 
• Every Monday, the teacher will provide you with your course program and learning targets for the week.
• The teacher provides you with regular exercises to practice after class.
• The teacher evaluates 2 skills ( CEFR Competencies) every week.
• The teacher communicates your results and offers you a correction and personalized advice.
  
  
• At the end of the program: 
• An online level test allows you to evaluate your progress
• You receive a certificate attesting to the completion of your training: it includes your level of French (European reference framework), the dates and duration of your training.

Learning a language in language immersion

When we learn a foreign language at school, we learn vocabulary lists and grammar rules. 
When we first discover a foreign language, our instinct is to translate or explain it in English or in our own language.

IN A FRENCH SCHOOL FOR FOREIGNERS, you will learn to communicate and use the language directly in the environment where it is spoken. 
You will be able to put the language into practice immediately , in a real situation, so you will progress more quickly.

After studying a series of words, you will begin to build sentences and then mix the different sentences you have learned. The teacher will gradually provide you with the vocabulary and grammar you will need in order to DO SOMETHING IN FRENCH: introduce yourself, ask for directions, go shopping, but also more complex scenarios as you progress.
Everything you learn, whether it's vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, etc., is aimed at this skill and is taught in a social and cultural context, with action-based activities.

With our method, by playing with this new language to better understand it, you will quickly become independent by putting into practice what you have learned in all situations.


From the lowest levels.  BEGINNERS AND COMPLETE BEGINNERS
Our trainers know how to teach French in French even to complete beginners because they use a dynamic method based on mime, acting, images and videos which allows you to gain confidence and to pick up the language very quickly.

A stimulating and effective teaching approach

• Each day, you work on the 5 skills of the CEFR grid (Written and Oral Comprehension, Written Expression, Oral Expression and Interaction) 
• The courses are varied and interactive , they integrate cultural aspects related to your life in France, to current events in France and even to your cultural activities at school.
• The study of vocabulary and grammar , the discovery of new expressions and the structure of the language are applied every day with concrete examples that can be used in everyday life.

• All working documents are provided by the teacher (textbooks and specialized methods, newspaper articles, literary extracts, websites, songs, games, dialogues, advertisements, surveys,...). 

• A weekly evaluation (a project, a question or an exercise) to check the knowledge acquired during the week.
• An evaluation at the end of the level, to check your skills in the general level

Classes in small groups

• Groups of 12 students maximum for optimal learning, to guarantee the participation of each student and for a personalized follow-up.
