Monday 4 September

12.30pm-2.00pm: Tutoring
Would you like to work independently or do your homework with the help of a French teacher? Then this tutorial is for you! In a dedicated room, our resource centre, you can read or work in peace and quiet. A tutor will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

2:00pm-3.30pm: Guided tour of Montpellier's historic centre
Relive the prodigious rise and exceptional destiny that Montpellier has forged for itself over the centuries. Take a thousand-year journey through the narrow streets of the historic centre to experience the very special atmosphere of the Ecusson.

6pm-7.30pm: Yoga class
Ashtanga Yoga is characterised by the sequence of postures (Asana) punctuated by the Ujjayi breath, chest breathing associated with different points of concentration. The postures follow each other quite quickly. This yoga is at first a very complete physical practice, becoming progressively a way of interiority when the practitioner acquires experience.

Tuesday 5 September

6.00pm-9.00pm: Cooking class with Les Ateliers d'Arthur
Come and discover traditional French home cooking with Sandrine and her team. At each class, participants will prepare a starter, main course and dessert using fresh seasonal produce, which they will enjoy together afterwards with a glass of wine.
Registration at the school reception 7 days before the course.

Wednesday 6 September

1.30pm-6.30pm: Canoeing in the Hérault gorges
Discover the banks of the Hérault river, for a dynamic and fun river trip. Pass through rapids and calmer stretches of water. Approximately 2 hours paddling. Swimming in the river. 2 people per canoe. Lifejackets and paddles provided. Must be able to swim and immerse. Bring towel and swimming costume.

Thursday 7 September

1.45pm-6.00pm: Excursion to Saint-Guilhem-le-désert
Just 1 hour's drive from Montpellier, set off to discover St Guilhem-le-Désert, a typical Languedoc village and stop-off point on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela (listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). The village is listed as one of the "most beautiful villages in France", with just 300 inhabitants but over 1 million tourists every year. You'll discover its prestigious religious past, with its thousand-year-old Romanesque church housing the relics of St Guilhem, Charlemagne's first cousin, and a piece of the true cross of Jesus Christ.

1.45pm-6.30pm: Excursion to the Clamouse cave
Visit the famous Clamouse cave, one of the most beautiful in the world. It's a veritable Ali Baba's cave, with the greatest diversity of crystals (aragonite and calcite) in France, a sumptuous illumination of this fragile environment, and an original and enchanting show (jumper and shoes recommended). The visit lasts 1h30. Free time at the Pont du Diable, the oldest Romanesque bridge in France (1,000 years old) and a World Heritage site and pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.

The Social Bar is THE new place to go out in Montpellier! Located at the foot of the Tour de la Babote, the bar is run by Montpellier residents and offers daily entertainment, a co-working space, a petanque area, a bar and a dance floor!

Friday 8 September

12.30pm-2.00pm: Educational workshop “Theater”
Would you like to practice your French after class and meet other students from the school? We invite you every week to participate in our pedagogical workshop.

1.30pm - 6:30pm : Excursion to Saintes Maries de la mer - Camargue
Discover the Camargue and its special animals: pink flamingos, bulls and horses. Ponds mix with the land or the other way round, and people grow rice, salt and vines. A seaside town symbolises this region: Les Saintes Maries de la mer and its fortified Romanesque church, a Christian pilgrimage site on the Way of St James. Pilgrims come here to venerate the relics of the St Maries (Marie Jacobée: aunt of Jesus and Marie Salomé: mother of the apostles James and John). The gypsy community gathers here every year to celebrate the relics of their patron saint, Saint Sara. This village is considered to be one of the oldest Christian cults in the West. Free time in the town and on the beach. Swimming is possible, but please bring a swimming costume.

Saturday 9 September

Morning suggestion: Go to the market ! Marché des Arceaux, organic and local products

9:00am - 6:00pm : Excursion to Roquefort - La Couvertoirade - Millau Viaduct
We'll start with a visit to the village of La Couvertoirade. This small fortified village, built by the Templars, will give you the impression of going back in time to the days of the knights. We'll discover one of the world's largest viaducts, designed by English architect Norman Foster: the Millau Viaduct: 300m high and almost 3km long. The end of the day will take us to the village of Roquefort, to meet its famous blue cheese. We'll visit the cellars, a veritable labyrinth where the cheeses are matured. Tasting of three different Roquefort cheeses.

Sunday 10 September

9:00am - 6:30pm : Excursion to Carcassonne
Come and discover Carcassonne's 3km of double ramparts, its 52 towers, its château comtal, its ancient Romanesque-Gothic cathedral and its magnificent stained-glass windows. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous setting for many of the films shot in the city, we'll set off to discover its many hidden treasures, a real leap into the past (entrance to castle and ramparts not included). Enjoy a cassoulet, the city's famous speciality.
