Monday 22 January

12.30pm-2.00pm: Pedagogical tutoring
Would you like to work independently or do your homework with the help of a French teacher? Then this tutorial is for you! In a dedicated room, our resource centre, you can read or work in peace and quiet. A tutor will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

2.00pm-3.30pm: Guided tour of Montpellier's historic centre
Relive the prodigious rise and exceptional destiny that Montpellier has forged for itself over the centuries. Take a thousand-year journey through the narrow streets of the historic centre to experience the very special atmosphere of the Ecusson.

6pm-7.30pm: Yoga class
Ashtanga Yoga is characterised by the sequence of postures (Asana) punctuated by the Ujjayi breath, chest breathing associated with different points of concentration. The postures follow each other quite quickly. This yoga is at first a very complete physical practice, becoming progressively a way of interiority when the practitioner acquires experience.
Price: 70€ for a card of 6 classes

Tuesday 23 January

4pm-5.15pm: Guided tour of the photography exhibition "Dr Paul Wolff: the man with the Leica".
The Pavillon Populaire in Montpellier is devoting an exhibition to Dr Paul Wolff (1887-1951), nicknamed "the man with the Leica", from 17 January to 14 April 2024. It's a chance to discover one of the most interesting German photographers of the inter-war period, who is still little-known in France despite being a true precursor of the small format photograph.

Come and discover traditional French home cooking with Sandrine and her team. At each class, participants will prepare a starter, main course and dessert using fresh seasonal produce, which they will enjoy together afterwards with a glass of wine.

2.00 pm - 3.30 pm: Guided tour of the Château de Flaugergues
Montpellier's first folly, this residence, still inhabited by its owners, is full of surprises. Starting with the monumental staircase on vaulted ceilings with hanging keys, which extends over 3 levels. In this place that will never cease to amaze you, your guide will tell you all about this house steeped in history. A veritable living museum, this is a colourful and unique place for young and old alike to enjoy!

1.45pm-6pm : Excursion to Saint Guilhem le Désert
Just 1 hour's drive from Montpellier, set off to discover St Guilhem-le-Désert, a typical Languedoc village and stop-off point on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela (listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). The village is listed as one of the "most beautiful villages in France", with just 300 inhabitants but over 1 million tourists every year. You'll discover its prestigious religious past, with its thousand-year-old Romanesque church housing the relics of St Guilhem, Charlemagne's first cousin, and a piece of the true cross of Jesus Christ.

Saturday 27 January

Morning suggestion: Go to the market ! Marché des Arceaux, organic and local products

9.00am-6pm : Excursion to Nimes and Pont du Gard
Visit the Jardins de la Fontaine, an ancient Roman necropolis built around the Nemausus spring, and the Temple of Diana. Pass in front of the former great Roman temple: the Maison Carré and visit the outside of the arena (inside visit not included), a former Roman amphitheatre, famous for its gladiator and bull shows. Visit to the Romanesque cathedral of St Castor. Free time in the town. At lunchtime, you can try Nîmes brandade, a local speciality made from cod and olive oil.
The Pont du Gard, the highest Roman aqueduct bridge (48 metres above the river), is 2000 years old and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
45-minute walk along the aqueduct, shoes closed, bottle of water. Possibility of swimming in the river beneath the aqueduct. Bring a swimming costume.

8.30am-6pm : Snowshoe trekking to Mont Aigoual
Discover the Aigoual massif on a walk from the resort to the observatory, with a unique panorama over ¼ of the country (the sea, of course, and in fine weather from the Alps to the Pyrenees!). Difference in altitude: 200 metres, summit altitude: 1565 metres. You'll pass through forests and clearings. Approx. 3-hour hike. This is an outdoor activity, supervised by a qualified instructor. Equipment provided. Bring a picnic and warm clothing.
