Monday 17 July

10.00am-11.30am: ADULTS - Guided tour of Montpellier's historic centre
Relive the prodigious rise and exceptional destiny that Montpellier has forged for itself over the centuries. Take a thousand-year journey through the narrow streets of the historic centre to experience the very special atmosphere of the Ecusson.

12.30pm-2.00pm: Tutoring
Would you like to work independently or do your homework with the help of a French teacher? Then this tutorial is for you! In a dedicated room, our resource centre, you can read or work in peace and quiet. A tutor will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

6pm-7.30pm: Yoga class
Ashtanga Yoga is characterised by the sequence of postures (Asana) punctuated by the Ujjayi breath, chest breathing associated with different points of concentration. The postures follow each other quite quickly. This yoga is at first a very complete physical practice, becoming progressively a way of interiority when the practitioner acquires experience.
Price: 70€ for a card of 6 classes

Tuesday 18 July

1.30pm-6.30pm : JUNIORS - Outing to Palavas-les-Flots
Come and discover this pretty seaside resort on the Mediterranean. Don't forget to bring water, sun cream and sunglasses, it's going to be hot! Free time on the beach possible (swimming not supervised).
Price: 10€ (tram tickets and guide included)

6.00pm-9.00pm: Cooking class with Les Ateliers d'Arthur
Come and discover traditional French home cooking with Sandrine and her team. At each class, participants will prepare a starter, main course and dessert using fresh seasonal produce, which they will enjoy together afterwards with a glass of wine.
Registration at the school reception 7 days before the course.

7.30pm-10.30pm: ADULTS - Petanque workshop and picnic
Come and discover this sport typical of the South of France and have fun with your new friends from school. Bring your own picnic to complete the fun!

10.45am-12.15pm: Outing to the Château de Flaugergues
Come and discover this emblematic Montpellier landmark, a green setting in the heart of the city steeped in history! You'll need to bring your tram tickets for the trip.
Price: €10 (admission to the Château and self-guided tour included), registration open before 5/06 at 4pm.

1.30pm-5.30pm: JUNIORS - Bowling
Are you ready for a wild game of bowling? There'll be stiff competition between the students, so may the best man win!

1.45pm-6.00pm: Excursion to Saint Guilhem le Désert
Just 1 hour's drive from Montpellier, set off to discover St Guilhem-le-Désert, a typical Languedoc village and stop-off point on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela (listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). The village is listed as one of the "most beautiful villages in France", with just 300 inhabitants but over 1 million tourists every year. You'll discover its prestigious religious past, with its thousand-year-old Romanesque church housing the relics of St Guilhem, Charlemagne's first cousin, and a piece of the true cross of Jesus Christ.

Thursday 20 July

8.00am-12.00pm : Excursion to Aigues-Mortes
Visit the oldest French port in the Mediterranean (departure point of the last two crusades in the Middle Ages), a fortified medieval town built in the 13th century, surrounded by intact ramparts almost 2 km long, view of the ramparts and the Constance Tower (former 13th-century lighthouse, then former Protestant prison and its famous prisoner Marie Durand), panoramic view of the town, the ponds of the Camargue, the salt mountains of the "salins du midi", the pink flamingos, the pink salt pans. Free time in the town. Tasting of fougasse (orange blossom brioche), the sweet speciality of Aigues-Mortes. Panoramic view of a pretty beach along the Languedoc coastline.

1.30pm - 6:30pm : Excursion to Canoe trip in the Hérault Gorges
Discover the banks of the Hérault river, for a dynamic and fun river trip. Pass through rapids and calmer stretches of water. Approximately 2 hours paddling. Swimming in the river. 2 people per canoe. Lifejackets and paddles provided. Must be able to swim and immerse. Bring towel and swimming costume.

Saturday 22 July

Morning suggestion: Go to the market ! Marché des Arceaux, organic and local products

9:00am - 6:00pm : Excursion to Nîmes and Pont du Gard
Visit the Jardins de la Fontaine, an ancient Roman necropolis built around the Nemausus spring, and the Temple of Diana. Pass in front of the former great Roman temple: the Maison Carré and visit the outside of the Arena (inside visit not included), a former Roman amphitheatre, famous for its gladiatorial and bullfighting shows. Visit to the Romanesque cathedral of St Castor. Free time in the town. At lunchtime, you can try Nîmes brandade, a local speciality made from cod and olive oil.
The Pont du Gard, the highest Roman aqueduct bridge (48 metres above the river), is 2000 years old and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
45-minute walk along the aqueduct, shoes closed, bottle of water. Possibility of swimming in the river beneath the aqueduct. Bring a swimming costume.

Radio France Occitanie Festival
Join us from 17 to 28 July for the 39th edition of the Radio France Occitanie Montpellier Festival. On the programme: 90 events, including 8 symphony concerts, in 40 different venues.

Sunday 23 July

8:30am - 6:00pm : Excursion to Aix en Provence
The town was a favourite haunt of the local aristocracy, who built numerous Italianate and Parisian-style town houses. It was also the home of the famous Impressionist painter Cézanne. Guided tour of the Cours Mirabeau, the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, St Sauveur cathedral with its many architectural styles and Romanesque cloister, the Pavillon de Vendôme and the Mazarin district.
