« My host was so, so sweet and friendly! She was a very experienced host who I believe had hosted over 40 students from all over the world. She was retired so always was around during the day. She also made excellent food which was a bonus! I really liked the language school. I had a great teacher called David who taught me for both the two weeks. He was very funny and animated and never made a lesson dull. The school was situated right in the centre of Montpellier so it was really convenient after class to go grab some lunch from a nearby restaurant. The activities were so fun: I went on three excursions which were all very different in their own ways. It was on the first excursion where I met one of my closest friends during my visit, so I would recommend going on excursions to meet new people. When with my host family we would only speak in French, which made a huge difference. Because I was almost forced to speak in French it automatically improved. I loved going in a waterfall for the first time, I loved the fact that I got to visit the beach, the mountains and the city in the same week and of course trying as many different flavours of ice cream possible! I honestly just know I will definitely want to do an experience like this again! It has also really motivated me to improve my French and hopefully one day in the near future I will speak it fluently. »
